Mooseherd is the Brooklyn-based film collective headed up by husband and wife directing team Jim Kamoosi and Laura Wing-Kamoosi.

Current and past clients include PureWow, Adobe, Cartier, Sephora, Lowe's, Valspar, Wolverine 1000 Mile, Silk Soymilk, Old Navy, 360i, AHAVA, Urban Decay, Hush Puppies, Fuzzy Logic, Skinceuticals, and Hugo Boss. Jim and Laura consider themselves storytellers first and foremost, and strive to create beautiful, compelling stories no matter what the subject may be.

Working with Mooseherd is simple. It starts with a conversation about your project. We'll review your creative goals, budget, and timeline. Whether your project calls for natural light, documentary-style shooting or something more stylized, every choice Mooseherd makes is in service of the final product. Many of the films you see on this site were crafted entirely by Jim and Laura, though Mooseherd has a large network of resourceful, creative, and above all, dedicated collaborators to call on as needed.

ABOUT THE HERD:

Laura Wing-Kamoosi is an Emmy-nominated producer and director. She has worked in independent film, television, and theater. Before joining Mooseherd, Laura was the lead promo producer for ABC's Good Morning America. She estimates writing, producing and directing nearly 3000 nationally-aired promo spots for that program in her 10 years at ABCNews, many times under extreme deadline pressure. In addition to producing and directing, Laura enjoys designing for letterpress printing. Her letterpress designs have been seen in many publications and blogs, notably Southern Weddings Magazine, Rue, and Under Consideration's For Print Only blog. She holds a BFA in Theatre from the University of Detroit, and has studied at Parsons The New School.

Jim Kamoosi began his film and television career on the set of Disney's The Book of Pooh, later moving on to the popular children's show Between The Lions. He is proud to note that his first coworkers were, in actual fact, Muppets. Before joining Mooseherd full-time, Jim was an editor and DVD author at ABC News for more than a decade. In addition to his work as an editor and cinematographer, he is an accomplished graphic designer and silk screen printer. He has created logos, websites and identities for a number of small businesses. His motion graphics work can be seen in the Academy Award winning short film, Curfew. Jim holds a BS in Communications from Fordham, and an AAS in Graphic Design from Parsons The New School.

Mooseherd is available for all sorts of film projects, including everything from company profiles and product launch videos, to craft and food tutorials, to short form documentaries and other editorial content. Please get in touch and let us know what we can do for you.
